BOSS BF-3 Flanger is a highly versatile, digital multi-mode modulation pedal designed to deliver both classic and modern jet-engine sweeping effects for guitarists and bassists. It updates the famous 20-year legacy of the fully analog BOSS BF-2 by introducing stereo outputs, distinct performance modes, and a dedicated bass input.

Four Expressive Performance Modes

The pedal features a dedicated MODE knob to jump between vastly different sonic textures:

Standard: Produces the iconic, traditional "swoosh" flanging effect ideal for classic rock and 80s post-punk tones.

Ultra: Delivers an ultra-fat, deep, and heavily pumped-up modulation for dramatic sweeps that cut through a heavy mix.

Gate/Pan: Creates radical rhythmic volume chops (slicer effects) when used in mono. When hooked up in stereo, it dynamically pans the sound from side to side for a 3D swirling illusion.

Momentary: Engaging this mode keeps the effect bypassed until you step on the pedal. It applies the standard flange only while held down, perfect for highlighting specific guitar phrases or musical notes

Core Controls & Hardware Layout

Concentric Knobs: Features controls for Rate (modulation speed), Depth (intensity), Manual (center frequency adjustment), and Res (resonance/emphasis feedback).

Dual Inputs: Includes independent, optimized inputs for Guitar and Bass to retain the thick low-end definition of bass guitars.

Stereo Outputs: Equipped with dual outputs (Output A Mono and Output B) to achieve expansive, room-filling stereo movement.

Tap Tempo: You can precisely match the modulation patterns to the pulse of your track by holding the pedal switch for two seconds to activate foot-tap timing.
