Vintage Edward Preston & Sons 9" Brass and Rosewood Spirit Level

This is a lovely vintage 9" Edward Preston & Sons brass and rosewood spirit level made in Birmingham in England. There is a good sized viewing window over the spirit vial and it's in excellent condition. Has an engraved top brass plate with the maker's mark, "E. Preston & Sons EP Trade Mark". It also has an engraving for Warranted Correct
The brass is very clean with the makers stamp clear to be seen. The ebony/rosewood body is in perfect shape.

This Edward Preston & Sons spirit level was manufactured between the 1890's to 1920's. Edward Preston & Sons eventually went out of business in the early 1930s and was then taken over by J. Rabone & Sons.
