Tannoy Mercury M2 Speakers in Cherry

Very good condition. One owner from new. They have been wall mounted so there are some very small screw holes in the tops. Would be simple enough to seal them up.
Where highly rated when first released.

Design: 2-way bass-reflex (rear-ported enclosure)

Drivers: 1-inch (25mm) soft dome tweeter paired with a 6.5-inch (165mm) polyolefin mid/bass woofer

Sound Profile & Performance

The Strengths: The M2s are loved for their incredibly warm, smooth, and natural mid-range. They excel with vocal-heavy music, jazz, acoustic arrangements, and string tones. For a budget box of their size, they provide a remarkably wide soundstage and impressive, deep bass response.

The Limitations: Because the cabinet lacks dense internal bracing (built from vinyl-wrapped chipboard), they can suffer from enclosure resonance. On complex, fast, or incredibly dense music mixes (like heavy rock or orchestral peaks), the sound can become slightly "congested," "boomy," or lose fine definition.
