Five days ago on Krakoa: After playing some hide-and-seek with kids, Wolverine meets up with Kate Pryde, who continues to smuggle his cheap booze into Krakoa. While they both have a few drinks, Kate notices that Logan seems happy for the first time since they met. Then Kate reports that some of the flowers used to make the three d.r.u.g.s. have recently disappeared. The mutants have no idea that someone is using the pollen from the flowers to make a new d.r.u.g.

The next day, Logan meets with Sage to find out where the stolen flowers might be. The trail she investigates leads to Moscow. Since the gate between Krakoa and Moscow on the Russian side is guarded by the military, it is Gateway who teleports Wolverine and his X-Force team there. The team ends up in the middle of an Order of X event. These are people who worship mutants. When the humans ingest the new d.r.u.g. they go into a rage and now want to ingest the blood of mutants as well. X-Force fights back, but tries not to kill anyone. But it's no use, because in the end it's the d.r.u.g. that kills Order of X.

One day ago in Moscow: Wolverine seeks out a gangster boss who has sold the d.r.u.g to the Order of X. After Logan exerts some pressure, the man tells him about a “pale girl” who works for the so-called Flower Cartel. The girl has telepathic powers, which is why the man and his men have equipped themselves with psionic dampeners.

Back on Krakoa, Wolverine discusses the situation with Beast, who talks about a new d.r.u.g. war. And from Logan's point of view, the mutants are responsible.

Now: A battered Wolverine wakes up in Alaska and he feels terrible, with Marvel Girl, Domino and Kid Omega lying at his feet. All three are dead and apparently Wolverine is responsible. When he discovers footprints in the snow, his grief quickly turns to rage and he sets off in pursuit. A short time later he sees the pale girl in front of him who made Wolverine kill his teammates. But then the girl disappears and Logan encounters a team of CIA agents instead.
