Original US Army Good Conduct Medal - WWII/Post-WWII Era

For sale is an authentic United States Army Good Conduct Medal. This decoration was awarded to enlisted personnel for "Efficiency, Honor, and Fidelity" during their service.

​Front (Obverse): Features the American Eagle standing on a closed book and a Roman sword, surrounded by the words "Efficiency, Honor, Fidelity."

​Reverse: Features a five-pointed star and scroll for engraving, surrounded by a laurel and oak wreath with the text "For Good Conduct."

​Excellent vintage condition. The bronze has a beautiful natural patina. The original ribbon is intact with some minor fraying at the top consistent with age (see photos).

​100% original military issue.

​Historical Significance:
Established in 1941, this medal was widely issued to soldiers serving during WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. It is a fantastic piece for any militaria collector or history enthusiast.
