Motherboard for sale – not working. For parts or repair.
Sold as-is. No returns.
Here is what is happening with the board:
The motherboard was originally working without any issues. After some time, random shutdowns started occurring. The system would often fail to start on the first attempt and would occasionally freeze completely.
I put the board aside and stored it for a couple of months.
Yesterday, I installed it on a test bench to try starting it again, but without success.
A few times the board attempted to boot and POST codes appeared, but then it shut down and triggered the power supply’s protection mode.
After a while, it would try to start again and once more send the power supply into protection.
The CPU has enough time to warm up during these startup attempts.
Sometimes a red indicator LED lights up near the 8-pin CPU power connectors.
The system does not enter the BIOS.

My knowledge is sufficient to give a rough diagnosis and an idea of where to look for the fault.
Based on its behavior, it appears there may be a short circuit somewhere on the 12V CPU power rail. If I had the proper equipment and experience, I would try to repair it myself.
