Antique ANRI Its a Small World Music Box

In 1912, high in the secluded Italian Alps in the tiny village of Groden, Anton Riffeser united many of the region’s craftsmen to join his workshop to produce fine wood carvings. Taking the first two letters of his first and last names, the House of ANRI came to be known as the ultimate source of high quality, collectible wood figures.

Since its inception, ANRI has always recognized designs and drawings that could be interpreted into figures by master crafts people, and this music box is no exception.

This 5 ½” tall 5” diameter piece is hand crafted and hand painted, making it unique, since no two are exactly alike. Decorated with two young girls, one with a watering can and the other with a hoe, tending their garden, and a red bird among the flowers, it plays “It’s a Small World.” It is in very good condition considering it's age, One of the girls is a little wobbly but I don't intend to try and glue her, not to ruin it's original state. It has been stored in a China cabinet for many years. It's plays perfectly.
