Description
Here is a fabulous 19th century bronze bell..that was produced by one of the last bell foundry's in France.. Obertino..It was produced for a dairy farm in La Sarraz in Switzerland..The bell is 17 cms across the base,12 cms up to the stub and weighs 1.3 kgs..The dairy cows wore these around their neck,to help keep track of them..These early bronze bells are rare at the best of times..To find a Swiss nineteenth century bronze dairy bell in Ireland is probably a one off..There is enough of the stub left to put a new eye on it.This is definitely priced to go and I don't envisage it being with me long.Registered post is available for an additional five euro.Thanks for looking please check out my other ads.
