2 X Magnificent 19th Century Italian 2 Foot Leather Horses

The first thing to say is that apart from these being magnificent.. is that these are very genuine and authentic mid 19th century realistic Italian leather horses..They are of paper mache and wire format that are covered in a hand tooled top quality leather.The marley style piece is 23 inches tall..15 inches long and six wide..the trotting piece is 19 inches long..16 inches tall and 6 wide..The muscle definition is simply incredible as is the over scale and composition. It has had a couple of very early repairs and I have carried out a couple in the same format..to keep it looking period correct..I have put a leather tail wrap on the marley and a leather leg stretcher and have colour toned both.I have cut two leather ears and a leather leg stretcher for the second piece..They are both now sound and will freely stand..Please remember that these are over 150 years old and have wear consummate with being genuine.The new custodian can add any small pieces of leather bridal that is missing..I will include registered post and very safe packing in the asking price..These would retail for 1.5-2k on Francis street..Thanks for looking please check out my other ads.
