25 1900BC Carnelian Ancient Egypt Beads(With COA)

Coin craft have been operating on Russell Street opposite the British museum since 1955..They specialize in coins,notes and ancient antiquities..These fabulous beads were purchased from them approximately 40 years ago.The name Carnelian comes from the ancient Latin word carnis..the Latin name for flesh..(It was believed that the stones had a flesh like colour).These are extremely early beads..from the middle Kingdom of ancient Egypt.. approximately 1900BC..They were very well sought after by Yemen Wadi's to the Pharohs of the Nubia desert of Egypt.The Egyptians buried their dead with carnelians to help their passage in to the next life.They represented the God Horus and his mother Isis.
There are 25 fabulous beads here,that would have been originally a necklace..restrung,it would form a statement piece of approximately 42-45cms..My humble thoughts are that it would make two magnificent bracelets..lifetime pieces for you and your partner..or two siblings ..They would fit nearly every modern wrist..with each being a minimum of 21-23cms..or smaller as required..To find these with a fantastic and genuine CAO,is probably a once in a lifetime find for me..The beads gently graduate down from 3,2 and just under 1cm.
