A Fabulous Pair of Rare Antique/Vintage Brass Arts & Crafts Style "Calla Lily" or "Trumpet" Vases with Hand-Beaten Repousse Finish - Priced as a Pair, But Can be Sold Separately

I am continuing my effort to downsize, in advance of all our possessions having to go back into storage again in the next few months (the builders keep changing the dates!)

For sale here is A Fabulous Pair of Rare Antique/Vintage Brass Arts & Crafts Style “Calla Lily” or “Trumpet” Vases with Hand-Beaten Repousse Finish - Priced as a Pair, But Can be Sold Separately

This is a fantastic unique pair of vases for a budding collector of Brass, or for someone expanding their collection.

A great pair for a set dresser or interior designer also. Lovely as display items around the home for flowers or candles

The Brass is left unpolished (you simply can't recreate this patina!), but you can polish them for a shiny look, it required!

The two vases, although similar, are not exactly the same shape, and given the hand-made nature of the repousse finish, even if they were the same shape, no two would ever be exactly the same. The round bases are the same, it’s the cut-out sections that differ.

The larger of the two vases stands roughly 14 inches/ 35.5 cm tall and the base is just under 3.5 inches/9cm in diameter. It has circular shaped weighted base, and a tapering conical form until the cut-out and hammered section starts. Condition-wise, there is some age-related rustic patina, which could be polished if desired. It has one ding about halfway up the conical section and this could probably be hammered out successfully, but again, I haven’t attempted it.

The smaller of the two vases stands just under 13 inches/ 33 cm tall and the base is just under 3.5 inches/9cm in diameter. It has circular shaped weighted base, and a tapering conical form until the cut-out and hammered section starts. Condition-wise, there is some age-related rustic patina, which could be polished if desired.

Both can be used as floral spill vases, but I have also used them as candle holders for dinner candles, they just need a bit of padding at the base to stabilise the candles. But it is worth it, as the reflections of the flames in the hammered brass is stunning.

Priced as a pair but can sell separately but they would work out more expensive that way.
The pair for €55, or priced at €32 per vase

I'll have more brass items coming soon, including a selection of small candlesticks and two small ornate photo frames!
