Lovely Set of Four Vintage Mid Century Modern Hand-Carved Wood Nibbles Bowls in Excellent Condition.

I am continuing my effort to downsize as unfortunately we will have to move all our belongings into temporary storage due to builders carrying out major remediation works to our brand new home.
I’m trying to minimize the pain by reducing the amount of packing required to be done!

For sale here is a Lovely Set of Four Vintage Mid Century Modern Hand-Carved Wood Nibbles Bowls in Excellent Condition.

What a fabulous lot these are! I’ve had them for some time and they were bought second hand from a vintage shop, and most likely are mid century items brought back from an exotic holiday.

The tactile quality and patina of these bowls is just stunning.
A fabulous set that are decorative as well as very practical.
Perfect for serving crisps, hula hoops, chipsticks, twiglits, pretzels, nuts, trail mix, olives etc!!!!
Or use them as trinket dishes, for keys, jewellery etc!

Each of the four bowls is hand-carved out of a single piece of wood, into a beautiful oval shape with a rectangular foot underneath.
The wonderful patina, markings and rings of the wood are still visible, as are some of the carving marks, which haven’t been fully sanded out. They are completely smooth, but it’s lovely to still have some tool marks lightly visible, confirming the complete hand-made quality of these bowls.

The bowls as they are individually hand-carved and not machine turned, all measure slightly different.

They average 8 inches/20.5 cm in length and stand 2 inches/5cm tall. They can be stacked for storage or display. All four are in excellent vintage condition with no cracks or chips to the wood. I have recently treated all four with food grade oil, to season them.

Selling as a set of four, as it would be a shame to split them up after all these years.
