Antique Chinese Hand Carved Scholar Figures Signed Pair
Antique Chinese Hand Carved Scholar Figures Signed Pair
Description
Beautiful pair of antique Chinese hand-carved scholar figures, each individually detailed and signed to the base.
One figure is depicted holding a traditional musical instrument, while the other carries a scroll. Finely carved facial expressions, clothing and decorative details throughout.
Made from a traditional natural material with an attractive aged creamy tone and patina. Both pieces have considerable age and display beautifully as a matching pair.
Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description, including the signatures, natural surface characteristics and construction details.
A very characterful pair of antique Asian decorative carvings, sold together.
