Antique Victorian Burr Wood Tea Caddy Brass Inlay c1850 1880 With Key

Beautiful antique Victorian tea caddy dating approximately to the mid to late 19th century, c1850–1880.
A very decorative example with richly figured burr wood veneer, geometric brass inlay and small pale natural material details, believed to be bone. The warm burr veneer, dark contrasting borders and fine geometric inlay give the box a particularly attractive period appearance.
The original fitted interior retains two separate wooden compartments with removable lids. The box also retains its decorative key and lock fitting.
Very nice original antique condition with beautiful age and patina. There is some age related wear to the interior and a few small losses to the decorative inlay, all clearly visible in the photographs and consistent with the age of the piece.
