A striking original oil on canvas by renowned Irish artist Con Campbell (born 1946) entitled “Jesus and Child.”

Painted circa the early 1990s, based on the colour palette and heavy line art within the image.

This is a large, expressive figurative work measuring approximately 90 × 87.5 cm, depicting a powerful and emotional interpretation of Jesus and a Child. Unlike the artist’s more commonly encountered horses, dogs and wildlife, this is a scarce religious subject representing a less frequently seen aspect of Campbell’s work.
