A charming original acrylic painting of a Peregrine Falcon by respected Northern Irish wildlife artist Michael Benington (1933–2022), beautifully presented in a quality frame and professionally mounted.

Painted on textured artist’s paper, the work captures one of Europe’s most iconic birds of prey with excellent attention to feather detail, colour and character. The painting is signed “M. Benington” in the lower right corner.

Michael Benington was one of Northern Ireland’s best-known wildlife artists. He specialised in birds and natural history subjects, exhibited internationally with the Artists for Nature Foundation, and his work is represented in the National Museums NI collection. He was also the son of noted ornithologist Arnold Benington, reflecting a lifelong connection with birds and wildlife.

The Peregrine Falcon is Ireland and Britain’s fastest bird of prey and one of the most admired raptors in the world, making this an appealing piece for wildlife enthusiasts, birdwatchers, falconry collectors and lovers of Irish wildlife art alike.
