Rare antique copper jug
Description
Incredibly rare antique pitcher with copper banding and handle from the mid-18th century. Completely hand made and hand decorated. From our research it seems these were used for fetching water or wine from big barrels. It has a moving handle to make the fetching easier. A real piece of history and a fine example of primitave antique metal work.
This item is in antique condition. There are dings and wear to it from the last 2 centuries, a piece of metal band is gone, does not affect the function and acceptable for this aged piece. (Please see pictures)
There is a great patina which really adds to the charm of this piece.
