Rare Antique art nouveau silver plated basket

Rare Antique Art Nouveau silver plated basket from the late 19th century by famous makers Henniger & Co.

Beautiful pierced floral design all over the body. Handles are designed in typical art nouveau stem and flower design. Excellent workmanship. This is an authentic example of the Art Nouveau period.

Henniger & Co. was established in 1824 in Berlin, Germany to research silver plating and silver appearing alloys. In 1842 Henniger was the first factory in central Europe to buy a license and use the electroplating process.

Very good antique condition.

There is some tarnish to the silver plate which should remove easily if wanted, however some folks like the more aged look and so I will leave it up to yourself.
