Exotic, hand carved Rocking Swan

An impressive, substantial rocking swan, hand-carved and painted from solid, heavy exotic hardwood (believed to be Monkeypod or Acacia).

These charming and increasingly sought-after examples of traditional craftsmanship are associated with Indonesia and Southeast Asia from approx. 40 years ago, and would make a wonderful addition to any home.

The swan is fully functional as a rocking piece, but is equally impressive as a decorative feature in a living room, playroom, nursery, etc. Its impressive size, solid construction and unique appearance make it a real conversation starter.

An inscription etched into the base inficates it was gifted to someone in 2001.

Dimensions:

Length: 60 cm
Height: 60 cm
Width: 23 cm

A similar rocking swan was previously advertised at $875, (see photo) highlighting its value and appeal.

An opportunity to acquire something distinctive, beautifully crafted and increasingly difficult to find at a bargain price, as I need the space.
