@miketom: I'd probably have something to fit alright. you might need to buy the honda brass end fittings though, I think they're different to the more common plastic ones.

I think that one is a 40hp 2 cylinder with oil injection.

@Seamus Holohan: Its been standing unused for years in an outdoor shed, surface rust on the flywheel/ starter etc now.
It may be only suitable for parts as it seems stuck at the moment, (might be possible to free it out again)

@Killianh28: Good morning. Both of those 15hp are viable engines i believe, but each needs a little work (and a service) to complete them.
They were both running but haven't been run for a couple years now. they can be tiller of controlled. If you're interested could you make a €1 offer and I can check and let you know more accurately what each one needs to get going again. Thanks.

Any mariner 40hp 2 stroke parts, old model I think it's late 80s, engine code is 6E9, identification plate is either painted over or missing thank you
@alan1956: Would depend on how much time it takes ( if the gearbox was hard to remove, seized bolts etc.) and the cost of the parts, but probably about €100 normally.
@Killianh28: Hi again. Its a 4hp alright, its long shaft, is complete, was running last summer but wont start now. 200 will take it.

Hi , would you have a the 3 pin lead that comes from under the ignition key on a johnson or evonrude or omc control box for the tach / rev gauge on the pre 1995 models? Its for a 1985 evinrude 60HP. thanks in advance
@Karol1: Sorry but I don't have a complete short shaft 40 gearbox to fit your engine. I may have the internals to fit if that may suit you?

I have a 50 hp one with some electronics conponet gone couldnt get it started , wonder is any of the parts on your compatable ?

@clonmoyle1 hi. I have a "plastic" one. It has a slight chip off the edge near the top. The o-ring is broken too, so you would need to use your old seal?

Probably not. My existing cover has a chip on the top also and it leaks water there. If the chip on your is cover where it meets the Engine Block it will probably leak also.

@whiskeycharlie it was pull start, And electric start, when it was new, but its just pull start now. ( its the electric start model)
@whiskeycharlie almost all is there still. I don't think there's anything missing that would stop it running, but there's no gearbox.

@fidget766 hi. I probably would have that alright. Does your one have the thumbscrew on it- or just bolted to the transom?
The one I have has the thumb screw on it. Although im planning to use it with a cmc so will be bolting it. The elongated bolt hole at the bottom of mine is broken hence why im looking for one. My yamaha 40hp is a 6h4 .part number is 6H4-43112-04 . I think the mariner 40hp part number 676-43112-04 will work as well

@roller44 I think I'm right in saying that the f60 would be exactly the same as the f50 if you could find one of those? I don't think any other types would fit. (The f60 would have to be of the same generation as your f50 of course.)

Thanks that's very helpful. It's an engine with a tiller handle. But I'm setting it up to be used remotely I'm sound for steering but I am after throttle and cables
