The mixing desk is suitable for direct to adat recording?

Does it require a DI box to record instruments?

Yes, you can record direct to ADAT using a Digi 002 (Rack or Console) by utilizing its optical ports to connect to an external preamp or another interface. The Digi 002 supports 8 channels of ADAT I/O at 44.1/48kHz, or 2 channels of optical S/PDIF at higher sample rates

@nolaw99 No, a Digidesign Digi 002 (or 002 Rack) does not require an external DI box to record instruments like electric guitar or bass.

@Dmsouth hi unfortunately I don’t think it will work with a modern Mac. There’s no software included just the interface. Thanks for the interest.
