A showroom-scale vintage medallion rug in excellent, full-pile condition.

Origin & Style: Sarouk (Saruq), Markazi Province, Iran. Central medallion on an ivory field with dense all-over floral arabesques and a rich crimson border.
Size: 400 x 295 cm (approx. 13.1 x 9.7 ft / 11.8 m²). Suits a large living room or dining room. Best in a room of roughly 4.6 x 3.6 m or larger.
Construction: Hand-knotted, approx. 300,000 knots per m² (see photo of the back).
Materials: Wool pile on a cotton foundation.
Palette: Ivory field, deep crimson border, soft blues, dusty rose and sage green.
Age & Condition: Approx. 50 years old. Full pile with bright colours throughout. Professionally cleaned. No holes, stains, moth damage or repairs.
