A fine Edwardian sterling silver vesta case featuring exquisite hand-engraved foliate scrolls and a vacant shield-shaped cartouche. Hallmarked for Chester, 1906, with the maker's mark 'RP' for Rolason Brothers. Features a secure hinge, side suspension ring, and match striker on the base..
It has the usual little dints and wear that's it's picked up over its 119 years and the spring doesn't snap closed. Still a very nice piece of history. Please see photos for condition
