Large Vintage Repoussé Metal Charger – Classical Portraits & Fruit

Quite a statement piece this one! A large vintage decorative metal charger with wonderfully detailed raised fruit, foliage and classical portrait medallions running around the entire border.

The centre has a hand-hammered appearance, contrasting nicely with the much deeper repoussé decoration around the outside. Look closely and there’s loads going on – grapes, berries, leaves, pomegranates and other fruit, interspersed with three wonderfully characterful classical faces.

It also has a small hanging fitting on the reverse, so it can be displayed on the wall as well as used as a decorative table or centrepiece plate.
