Thorens TD 160

This turntable started life as a TD 166 BC, a rare late model fitted with a Rega tonearm that was badged Thorens. This was one of the last variants of the 160 family (if not the last in the UK), this turntable was released at the time when CD's had taken off and vinyl was being retired to the loft.

This turntable has been upgraded with a 10mm bearing and features the 16v motor, unlike the standard 166mk2 this is a full fat turntable that features a higher spec than the mk2 TD160.

Housed in a solid wood Oak plinth with the Thorens logo subtly laser etched into the front lower right plinth panel, fitted with an 18mm MDF base board, under chassis damping fitted to both the upper and lower chassis, a Jet Black top plate with gloss model inscription, jet black tonearm board & black outer platter complimenting the black Rega tonearm, this build looks stunning in the colour combination and weighs in at over 10kg!
