1917 International Watch Co. (IWC) Schauffhausen Sterling Silver cased pocket watch
Description
Made by International Watch Co. (IWC), Schauffhausen in 1917, this pocket watch has the IWC Lépine Calibre 52 H6 movement.
Imported by Stauffer & Co., (S&Co), stamped with Charles Nicolet's (CN) sponsor's mark, hallmarked sterling silver, assayed in London, and dated 1917.
Condition:
With over 100 years, apart from a couple of small marks, the case lids are tight, the enamel dial is clean and in good condition, the movement is well preserved, and the watch ticks as soon as you start winding. There is no evidence of repairs, and there are no servicing marks.
The IWC Lép 52 movement has the following stamps:

International Watch Co. (IWC) is a valuable maker and condition is exceptional.
When valuing your one, value is a combination of maker (Bryson is good), complications (how many things it can do), condition (dial especially), age, rarity, and case metal (only matters if the gold/silver literally outweights the rest of the value).
Cases can be steel, base metal plated with gold, solid silver, or solid gold. The stamps or markings will tell you what it is. English hallmarks are quite clear. It sounds like your case is silver. There may be something like a castle (Edinburgh), lion, and date marks.
Movements can be brass, copper, or other alloys. They are often plated with an alloy of copper, gold, or nickel. Pre-1900 tells me it may be fire-guilded with gold. That is why the movement appears gold in colour.
