For sale is a ceramic mug awarded to finishers of the 35th BALLYCOTTON "10" TEN MILE ROAD RACE that took place on Sunday 4th March 2012 in the little coastal town of Ballycotton, County Cork. This annual race started up in 1978 and proved increasingly popular with runners vying to complete the coure within one hour. The first Ballycotton "10" had 31 runners participtating and by 1984 this total had increased to 848, with 646 finishing. The final race of 2017 had 4,100 entries of which 2,617 runners had finished the course. Finishers were presented with their mugs in the town hall after the race.

The race was organised and hosted by the Ballycotton Running Promotions in association with the East Cork Athletics Association. In October 2017 it was announced that the Ballycotton "10" annual races would cease, citing logistical problems due to traffic and carparking within and about Ballycotton town.

Size: about 3 1/2" high x 3 1/8” O.D. excluding the handle (92mm x 80mm).
Material(s): white earthenware.
Finish: printed by dye-sublimination (Orca Coatings) in 3 colours over the glaze.
