Fabulous Set of Four Vintage Mid-Century Federal Glass Company Juice Glasses in the "Nordic Midnight (Smoke)" Pattern, Circa 1960's

I am continuing my effort to downsize, in advance of all our possessions having to go back into storage again in the next few months (the builders keep changing the dates!)

For Sale here is a Fabulous Set of Four Vintage Mid-Century Federal Glass Company Juice Glasses in the “Nordic Midnight (Smoke)” Pattern, Circa 1960’s

This fabulous set of funky mid-century glasses are very similar in style to the Georg Butler Jenson designed “Berlin” or “Linear Smoke” glasses produced by Rosenthal, but as these are not marked Rosenthal underneath, I think these are the Federal Glass version known as Nordic Midnight (Smoke).
I don't know how the Federal Glass company weren't sued by Georg Jenson, as the designs are so similar!!

Designed in the 1960’s these glasses elegantly break with traditional glass forms and feature a minimalist cylindrical body of clear glass resting on a solid, square base of smoky glass. This architectural design creates a low centre of gravity, fits perfectly in the hand, and is a perfect example of timeless mid-century modern style.

The Federal Glass Company operated out of Ohio, USA between 1900 and 1979, their heyday being the Depression era through to the 1960’s when these were produced.

They stand just over 4.5 inches/ 12cm tall and they hold 5 ozs. All four are in excellent condition, perfect for use or display.

A great set of glasses for a home bar or man cave, very MCM, Very Mad-Men!

I’m listing loads of glassware and barware at the moment, so keep an eye out on my upcoming and recent ads, and see the final photo.

Discounts possible for multiple purchases! Post possible, and would be €7.
