Fabulous Vintage Arklow Pottery Blue and White Tureen with Cacti Garden - A Fabulous Unique and Decorative Item for Display Indoors

A Lovely Unique and Decorative Item for Display on a Dresser, Sideboard, Conservatory or Anywhere Indoor Plants are Displayed – although I photographed it outside, it’s an indoor Cacti Garden!

I had this lovely Arklow Pottery Tureen bottom in a beautiful blue and white floral pattern. As it is missing its lid it is probably better for display purposes. Way too pretty to just abandon, I decided to repurpose it as an indoor planter for a Cacti Garden

It is currently planted up with three different cacti with decorative stones and two colours/sizes of gravel, and the tureen should be big enough to hold this cacti garden for many years to come.

The tureen bottom is by Arklow Pottery and this is one of my favourite patterns. It’s an early Blue and White pattern featuring a floral theme and the pattern dates to the 1930’s/1940’s.

The Tureen is in great condition but no lid!

The cacti garden features three different varieties of cacti and some decorative rocks, and grey and black gravel.

The round tureen measures roughly 9 inches/23cm not including the handles, and 10inches/25cm including the handles.

As cacti are slow growing and don’t need much water, the cacti in this cacti garden should be happy for many years to come. I would place a placemat under it when it has just been watered, but it should be fine without, the rest of the time.
