Stunning Vintage MCM 1950's Coffee Set for Six, Including Coffee Pot, by Johnson Bros, in Black and Cream with Pink Rose Detailing and Platinum Gilt Design

A possible impending house move has forced me into evaluating all the contents of my attic and home and some items will have to go, in my effort to downsize. I'm making progress but more items need to go! I am moving onto some of my prized coffee sets, but only those that are not J&G Studio Meakin!!

For Sale Here is A Stunning Vintage Mid Century Modern 1950's Coffee Set for Six, Including the Coffee Pot, by Johnson Bros, "Snowhite" in a Black and Cream with Pink Rose Detailing and Platinum Gilt Design.

What a fabulous set this is, a fab shaped set in a high shine black glaze complimented by cream interiors, and cream saucers/sugar bowl with a pink rose motif edged in platinum gilt. The Coffee Pot lid is also cream with the rose motif, which is stunning against the high shine black of the rest of the pot.

The set includes the following pieces:

Coffee Pot, (7.5 inches/19 cm tall)
6 coffee cups,
6 Coffee saucers,
Milk Creamer
Sugar Bowl

Please note**** the cups are 2.3 inches/6cm tall, small cups, suitable for demi-tasse/espresso, see last photo for size comparison with a regular sized cup and saucer)

The set is in a very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or pattern loss, the only issue is a small piece of missing glaze on the jug handle as photographed. The previous owner has coloured this in. A couple of dots of black nail varnish would do the trick, but I'll leave that decision up to the next owner!

A great set for an afternoon tea or a coffee morning. It would look great on display in a contemporary home/kitchen or one with an MCM vibe.
