For sale is a merchandise/souvenir mug which originally would have been sold at one of the MOTHER HUBBARDS restaurants. There were four Mother Hubbards and all were popular as both truck stops and as restaurants with the public as well. They were located on main routes at:

Moyvalley, County Kildare (N4)
Cashel, County Tipperary (R639)
Kilcolgan, County Galway (N18)
Oranmore, County Galway (N67).

The Mother Hubbards were a private group of restaurants with truck stop facilities originally established in 1977. They had closed during the Covid lockdowns and did not reopen. Subsequently, all four sites were sold.

DESCRIPTION:
Size: about 3 11/16" height x 3 1/8” O.D. excluding the handle (94mm x 78mm).
Finish: screen printed in 5 colours over a clear glaze.
Material(s): white earthenware.
Imprint: none.
Approximate age: late 1980's to 1990's.

CONDITION:
Excellent clean unused condition. No damage.
