A very rare side axe (also known as a broadaxe) is a specialized woodworking tool designed with a single-bevel edge. It has one entirely flat side and one angled side, acting much like a massive chisel. It is primarily used by carpenters and log builders to hew round logs into flat timbers, square up lumber, or shape furniture parts. This one is right handed, in very good condition, sharpened and ready for work.
