Vintage 800 Silver Marcasite Bar Brooch Pink Stone European Hallmark D&C 6.7cm CAN POST

An elegant vintage continental European bar brooch, dating from the Art Deco period (circa 1920s–1935).

Design & Materials:
Crafted from solid 800 purity silver, this classic bar pin features a vibrant, bezel-set round pink gemstone at its center. The central setting is framed by an openwork geometric border accented by tiny, faceted rose-cut marcasite stones that beautifully catch the light.

Hallmarks & Authenticity:
The reverse side is clearly stamped under magnification with two important hallmarks:
1. The purity mark "800" (stamped inverted), indicating 80% solid continental silver.
2. The maker's cartouche mark "D & C" indicating the silversmith firm.

Condition Notes (Please Read):
This item is in lovely vintage condition overall with a functional, operational pin closure. Please note that exactly ONE tiny accent marcasite stone is missing from the setting left of the central stone (clearly highlighted under magnification in the microscope photo). The surrounding milgrain metal border remains perfectly intact, making this an incredibly easy and straightforward restoration project for a collector, or perfectly wearable as-is.
