Description

Antique Western Electric 509-W high-impedance headphones dating from the early days of radio, approximately the late 1910s to 1920s.

Features black Bakelite earpieces, a double cloth-covered headband and an old cloth-covered lead with vintage connector and plug. Originally intended for early radio, crystal-set, telegraph or communications use.

The headphones have not been electrically tested and are sold as a collectable, display or restoration item. They show substantial age-related wear, dirt, corrosion and deterioration or fraying to the wiring and headband coverings.
