Original Elizabeth A McEwen RUA - Botanical Artwork - Dahlia - 1985

DON’T FORGET TO LOOK AT MY OTHER ADS!

Beautiful original botanical artwork by Elizabeth A. McEwen RUA, depicting a detailed pink Dahlia with foliage and flower buds.

The artwork is signed “E.A. McEwen” by the artist and is presented in an attractive vintage dark wooden frame with gold-toned inner detailing.

Particularly interesting provenance: the reverse retains the original artist/gallery label for Elizabeth A. McEwen, 43 King’s Drive, Belfast, together with a handwritten purchase notation reading “June 1985 – £95”. This gives the piece an excellent period provenance and dates it to 1985.

The artwork has a lovely botanical/illustrative quality, with very fine detail and subtle colouring. A charming piece for anyone interested in botanical art, Northern Irish artists or vintage original artwork.
