A vintage lamp shade made of white opaline glass, decorated with a floral motif and featuring a characteristic wavy edge (often accented with a colored or gilded line).
Shades of this type were extremely popular in the second half of the 20th century—primarily during the 1960s, 70s, and 80s—and were used for decorative chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, as well as oil or desk lamps in rustic or classic styles. Although its shape resembles a small vase, the absence of a solid, closed base and a distinct narrowing at the bottom clearly indicate its function as a lighting component.
