Description

For sale is a beautiful piece of antique English utility stoneware: a Lovatt & Lovatt Langley Ware syrup/cream pitcher. This charming jug features a deep chocolate-brown glaze on the upper body, contrasted by a highly tactile, sand-textured or rope-banded lower section.
It comes complete with its original, functional hinged pewter lid featuring an ornate thumbpiece. The base is clearly stamped with the historical Langley Mill patent mark (No. 303679) alongside an impressed letter "C" potter's mark.
Condition:
Excellent vintage/antique condition. The stoneware body is free of any major cracks, chips, or notable structural damage. The hinged pewter lid shows a natural, aged patina and opens/closes smoothly. (Please review photos for precise cosmetic details)
