BOWATERS PAPER MILLS (hallmarked solid silver) - a vintage 25 Years Long Service enamel badge

Postage is extra.

.
For sale is a 25 years long service badge issued to an employee of BOWATERS (Bowater-Lloyd Group) paper mills at Sittingbourne and Kemsley in Kent, south-east England. The mill at Sittingbourne was the larger of the two, reaching full production in 1925 and ceasing production in 2007. It was the largest paper mill in Britain for the production of newsprint and recycled papers, as well as being one of the largest in Europe. Sittingbourne also produced the famous Nimrod range of coated papers. The mill at Kemsley is still in production and is owned by the Finnish paper company, Metsä Board Oyj.

This finely made silver badge would have been specially presented to one of their employee's for his 25 years work service to the company.
