For sale is a button badge issued by Lipton's Teas to promote their BROOKE BOND PG TIPS teas and teabags. Such badges would have come with their boxes of teabags. Brooke Bond teas are probably best know for their TV adverts starring the Tipps family of chimpanzees, produced between 1956 and 2002.

DESCRIPTION:
Size: about 1 1/4" diameter (31mm).
Material(s): steel body with printed paper insert under a clear cellulose laminate.
Finish: insert printed lithography in 4 colours. Reverse side: metallic wash.
Fittings: D-pin.
Imprint: none.
Approximate age: late 1970s to early 1980s..

CONDITION:
Very good condition. No damage. Pin in working order. Badge actually looks better in the hand - yellow colour more intense than in photos.
