For sale is a 100th anniversary commemorative badge celebrating the foundation of the Independent Order of Foresters (IOF) in the United States and Canada in 1874. That was the year the Ancient Order of Foresters in the United States and Canada broke away and became independent of the British Ancient Order of Foresters society.

The IOF, like the Ancient Order of Foresters, were a mutual-benefit and fraternal society that provided life insurance, health insurance and death benefits to its members.

The badge displays the emblem of the IOF. The IOF still exists in the US, Canada and Britain as the Foresters Financial company.

Size: about 1/2" diameter (13mm).
Material(s): Brass metal with 3 vitreous enamels.
Finish: Gilt.
Fitting: Pin & butterfly clutch.
Imprint: None.
Approximate age: c.1974

CONDITION:
A very good condition metal and enamel badge, mint condition! No damage, pin tight and in good working order.
