Vintage J.C. Chesterman Leather Cased Surveyors Tape

Description

Vintage long measuring tape by J.C. Chesterman of Sheffield, England.

Features a round leather-covered case, brass winding mechanism and metal end loop. A collectable example of traditional British surveying or measuring equipment.

The internal tape has not been pulled out or tested, so its length, markings, completeness and winding operation are unknown.

The leather case shows substantial age-related wear, including scuffs, marks, cracking and extensive loss of the outer finish. The brass fittings are tarnished and worn.

Sold as a collectable, display or restoration item. Please examine both photographs carefully for condition.
