BARN OWL No. 01 Unique Mechanical Watch Antique Enamel Dial with Real Gold Detailing

A piece of watchmaking history, brought back to life in a new form.

BARN OWL No. 01 is the first example in my personally designed Barn Owl series — an individually assembled mechanical wristwatch incorporating an original enamel dial from an antique pocket watch dating to approximately 1900.

The dial is particularly special. Its decorative elements and minute markings are made with genuine gold, a detail that has been verified. The elegant hour numerals and traditional small seconds display preserve the character of the original pocket watch.

I added my own Barn Owl emblem, with two genuine ruby watch jewels forming the owl's eyes. These jewels were recovered from the original antique movement.

The same owl emblem and the number 01 also appear on the movement's barrel wheel, visible through the transparent case back — a small personal detail connecting the front and back of the watch.

Inside is a new Sea-Gull ST3621 hand-wound mechanical movement, based on the classic Unitas 6498 architecture. Its traditional small seconds layout is particularly well suited to the antique dial.

Condition:

The watch is in excellent working order and keeps exceptionally good time.

The case, movement and leather strap are new. The antique enamel dial retains its historical character.

This is an openly described custom-built watch, not an original factory-produced wristwatch from 1900.

Only one example of this particular design was made.
