OWL No. 03 One-of-a-Kind Mechanical Watch Solid Silver 800 Case Handmade Custom Design

A watch that never existed as a factory model.

OWL No. 03 is an individual watch I designed and assembled as part of my personal Owl series, combining vintage watchmaking components with my own design and handwork.

The project began with a vintage Swiss Fero dial, which I redesigned with my own Owl emblem. The owl's two pink eyes are genuine ruby watch jewels recovered from the original Fero movement — a small detail that gives the design a connection to its mechanical past.

The watch is powered by an unusual Russian Vostok mechanical movement, with the small seconds hand positioned at approximately 10 o'clock rather than the conventional 6 o'clock.

The case has a story of its own.

It is a vintage solid silver case, hallmarked 0.800, believed to be approximately 80 years old.

Originally, the case had simple steel wire lugs. I removed these and individually made new lugs from silver of matching fineness, carefully fitting and soldering them to the case. This required considerably more work than simply fitting a movement into an existing case.

The result is a watch combining components from different periods and origins, brought together in a single personal design.

Condition:

The watch is in excellent mechanical working order.

The vintage dial and silver case retain visible signs of age and their original character. These are part of the watch's history, rather than something I wanted to conceal through excessive restoration.

This is an openly described custom-built watch, not an original factory-produced Fero or Vostok model.
