Description:
The coin alluding to D. Catarina de Bragança (1638-1705), queen consort of the Kingdoms of England, Scotland and Ireland through her marriage to Charles II of England, continues the series -Queens of Europe-, which aims to portray princesses of Portugal who reigned in Europe.

Designed by José Viriato, the coin shows on the obverse a representation of a cup of tea and the legend "Five O'Clock Tea", recalling the introduction of this drink at the English court by Queen Catherine of Bragan&ccidil;a.

On the reverse side, the figure of D. Catarina appears, inspired by the portrait painted by Peter Lely.
