Description:
The Europa Series begins a new cycle, alluding to the "Ages of Europe", reflecting European artistic movements - Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, the Iron and Glass Age and Modernism, the theme chosen for this year.
The coin produced by INCM was designed by the sculptor Rui Vasquez from a self-portrait by Almada Negreiros, one of the forerunners of the so-called Portuguese Modernism, who accompanied the avant-garde of European letters and arts in the early 20th century, breaking with the past and with all traditional or classic brands in culture and society.
