Description:
The coin alluding to D. Isabel de Portugal (1503-1539), Empress of the Holy Roman Empire through her marriage to Charles V, continues the series of coins entitled "Queens of Europe", which intends to portray Princesses of Portugal who reigned in Europe. Designed by Hugo Maciel, the coin displays elements relating to the Holy Roman Empire on the obverse and on the reverse the figure of D. Isabel, inspired by the portrait painted by Titian.
