Corgi Toys 310 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Metallic Red - Good Repaint by Seller without Box
** GOOD REPAINT VINTAGE Corgi TOYS MODEL WITHOUT ORIGINAL BOX **

* Corgi Toys released No310 in 1963 at a UK price of 5/6. It was initially produced in metallic red at 1:46 scale. It was withdrawn from the Corgi Toys range in 1968. Other colours released were silver and bronze. Initially the Corvette was fitted with shaped bright metal hubs, later cast wire wheels were used. The model was fitted with “pop-up” head lights.
* Corgi Toys based their model on the C2 version of the Corvette.
* The Corvette C2 was launched during 1963 and was replaced during late 1967. Introducing a new name, Sting Ray, the 1963 model was the first year for a coupe. It featured a distinctive split rear window, non-functional hood vents, and independent rear suspension. Whilst distinctive and a key design element, the split rear window restricted rear vision. The rear window was changed in 1964 to a single unit. The decorative hood vents were also eliminated. The C2 was fitted with a 5.3 Litres (327 cu in) V8 OHV engine which, in 1963, developed 360 bhp rising to 375 bhp in 1964.
