Dinky Toys 132 Ford GT40-RV Metallic Bronze - Good Repaint by Seller without Box
** GOOD REPAINT VINTAGE DINKY TOYS MODEL WITHOUT ORIGINAL BOX **

* “RV = Road Version
* Dinky Toys released No132, Ford 40-RV, in 1969 at a UK price of 9/11. It was produced in metallic silver, orange and white at 1:42 scale. It was withdrawn from the Dinky Toys range in 1971.
* New GT Class rules were introduced for the 1966 motor racing season. These required that at least 50 examples of a car had to be made for it to compete in the GT class. Ford decided to produce a production road-going version of their GT40 Mark 1 so they could compete in this class as well as further modify their 7 Litre Mark 2 version to be competitive for outright sportscar victories such as Le Mans.
* Ford made the minimum af changes for their road-going GT40s. The production GT40 used 335 bhp Ford 289 Fairlane V8. In competition trim these engines, with a lighter flywheel and no silencer, produced 380 bhp. The interior is where Ford Advanced vehicles made most changes. There was more interior trim, pockets and sound deadening. Also, a heater and radio were fitted plus glass windscreen, rear and side windows.
