Diecast Vintage Spot-On Austin Healey 100-Six - Very Good Repaint by Seller/No Box

Being sold from my personal model collection is this pre-owned vintage Spot-On diecast model of a mid to late 1950s Austin Healey 100-Six. It is a “ REPAINT ” by the seller.

** VERY GOOD REPAINT VINTAGE SPOT-ON MODEL WITHOUT ORIGINAL BOX **

* Spot-On released No105, Austin Healey 100-Six, in 1960. Produced, like all Spot-on models, at 1:42 scale, the 100-Six. was available in metallic blue, blue & cream, red & cream. Spot-On withdrew their 100-Six from the range in 1964.
* Spot-On were produced in Belfast, Northern Ireland by Tri-ang.
* Model Features :-
> Clear plastic windscreen
> Interior part of the body casting
> Turned aluminium wheels with raised “hub cap”, fitted with treaded rubber tyres
> Grey painted cast base with simple detailing

* Replacing the Austin Healey 100 range, the 100-Six was made from 1956 to 1959. There were two models, first the BN4 (2+2 seats) introduced in 1956 and then, in 1958, the BN6 (2 seats). The wheelbase was increased by 2 inches to make room for the occasional seats. The bonnet had a built-in air scoop, and the windscreen no longer could be folded down. The 100-Six used a tuned version of the BMC C-Series engine previously fitted to Austin Westminster. Initially, in 1956 it produced 102 bhp. In 1957 the fitting of a revised manifold and cylinder head, increased the power to 117 bhp. A 117 bhp BN6 was tested by The Motor magazine in 1959. It had a top speed of 103.9 mph and could accelerate from 0-60 mph in 10.7 seconds. A fuel consumption of 20.8 mpg was recorded. The test car cost £1,307 including taxes of £436.
