Diecast Vintage Tekno Mercedes-Benz 300SL - Very Good Repaint by Seller/No Box

Being sold from my personal model collection is this pre-owned vintage Tekno diecast model of a late 1950s/early 1960s Mercedes-Benz 300SL in open format and based on the “Roadster”. It is a “ REPAINT ” by the seller in its original metallic blue.

* Tekno was a Danish toy vehicle manufacture during the 1950s and 1960s. They introduced the Mercedes 300SL in 1961 and it remained in the range until about 1968/69. It was finished in metallic blue, red, white, metallic bronze, silver grey and light green. Model was sold initially without a driver figure which was later added. Figure was both male and female. A figure is not included with model being sold.

* The 300SL Roadster (W198) was the open top variant of the Mercedes-Benz 300SL. Introduced in 1957, the roadster was the successor to the famous 300SL Gullwing and was created to appeal to the Californian market. These cars featured two traditional passenger doors and a folding cloth roof. The 300 SL Roadster featured the high compression version of the Mercedes-Benz M198 engine. This 3.0 Litre (2,996cc) in-line six-cylinder engine generated 240 bhp. The car was fitted with a 4-speed manual gearbox. Roadster production ran from 1957 until 1963, with a total of 1,858 examples built.
